Lake District Adventures

From iconic summits to peaceful valleys, this is a land shaped by water, rock, and time. Whether you're after a big day out, wild camping, or something gentler, we’ll guide you through it — always at your pace.

Buttermere Base

A quieter corner of the Lakes with everything you need for a wild escape.

Two connected lakes ideal for swimming or paddleboarding, peaceful valleys, tumbling waterfalls, and direct access to classic fells like Haystacks. Stay at a cosy pub, farm shop, or campsite — and if you’re up for a challenge, add in a day at Honister Slate Mine’s via ferrata.

Perfect for one-day walks or multi-day adventures.

⛰ Buttermere – Black Sail Hut – Haystacks Round

A big day in the hills.
Climb over a series of Wainwrights to reach Haystacks, one of the Lake District’s most loved peaks. We stop at the remote Black Sail Hut (yes, there's cake!) before descending through ancient forest beside the lake.
Option to extend into a wild camp for more summits and starry skies.

Keswick Area

A great base for Northern fells and quieter corners of the Lakes.

Easy access to Blencathra and Skiddaw, but also to peaceful routes on High Seat, Castlerigg, and Borrowdale. The town itself has a wide choice of places to stay and eat, all within walking distance of the hikes.

⛰ Skiddaw & Skiddaw Forest

Wide ridges and rewilding in action.
We take a quieter approach to the summit of Skiddaw. No scrambling — just steady climbing and sweeping views across to Scotland and the Isle of Man. Descend through Skiddaw Forest, where large-scale rewilding gives a glimpse of a wilder future.

Pooley Bridge, Glenridding & Ullswater

Easy access from the M6 but full of wild corners.

These two villages make great bases, linked by the hop-on bus or lake steamer. Choose from pub stays, B&Bs, or wild camps — and explore a quieter side of the Lakes.

⛰ Helvellyn Round from Glenridding

A true classic.
We can take the famous Striding Edge (Grade 1 scramble) or the quieter but still rewarding non-scrambling routes to the summit of Helvellyn. Whichever way up, the views are unforgettable.

Example Days Out

Every walk is tailored to you — your goals, your pace, your curiosity.

We offer both circular and linear routes, ranging from 9 to 26 miles. Each day begins with a short welcome, a safety briefing, and a chat about the route ahead.

Out on the trail, we typically walk 3 to 4 miles between breaks, pausing to take in points of interest, watch wildlife, or simply enjoy the view. There are regular stops to refuel, rest, and soak up the experience — because it’s not just about distance, it’s about connection.

A note on timings and difficult ratings.

Timings are estimates but can vary based on the pace of the group and the curiosity of the group to explore the landscape around them.

Difficulty levels are our subjective rating based on distance and the amount of up and downhill. Please contact us if in doubt and you have any questions.
